Privacy Policy
Overview
Psyche is an educational app for studying ideas associated with Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud. It is not a mental-health service and does not diagnose, interpret, or provide therapy.
This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices available to you. It applies to the Psyche app, website, and supporting API.
Information we collect
Account information: your email address, optional display name, verification status, and account creation dates.
Learning information: your selected author track, onboarding preferences, lesson and exercise completions, learning-path progress, streaks, gems, and any exercise responses you choose to save.
Reminder information: if you enable reminders, we store your preferred days and time, timezone, and an Expo push token for your device.
Technical information: our hosting provider may process IP addresses, request timestamps, device or browser information, and error details in limited server logs used to keep the service secure and reliable.
We do not collect microphone or speech-recognition data. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell personal information.
How we use information
We use your information to sign you in, deliver the authored course, remember your progress, maintain your learning path, and show saved work back to you.
We use reminder information only to send notifications you have chosen to receive. You can disable reminders in the app or in your device settings.
We use limited technical information to prevent abuse, investigate failures, and operate the service.
The current release does not send your course activity or saved exercise responses to a third-party AI model provider.
Storage and security
Saved free-text exercise artifacts are encrypted before they are stored in our database.
API access is authenticated and scoped to your account. Production traffic uses HTTPS, and we apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use an email account and device that you control.
Service providers
We use Hostinger for website, API, database, and email infrastructure, and Expo for optional push-notification delivery and app build services.
Apple may process information when you download the app, use TestFlight, or manage notification and device settings under Apple's own policies.
These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us. The current release has no advertising network, analytics SDK, payment processor, or AI model provider.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and learning information while your account is active so you can continue the course and review your progress.
You can permanently delete your account from Profile → Preferences → Delete account. This removes your account and associated app data from our active systems, subject to limited retention in security logs and routine infrastructure backups.
Expired sign-in codes and refresh tokens are retained only as long as operationally necessary and may be removed sooner.
Your choices and rights
You can edit your display name, change reminder preferences, disable notifications, or delete your account in the app.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, restrict, object to, or request a copy of your personal information.
For privacy questions or requests, email hello@sntrvn.space.
Children
Psyche is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can remove it.
International processing
Our providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Changes
We may update this policy as Psyche changes. We will publish the current version at this URL and revise the last-updated date above.
